Anti-corrosion Treatment Of Hexagon Flange Bolt

  • There are many anti-corrosion technologies for Threaded Rods And Eye Bolts, and the commonly used methods are electroplating and oxidation. Today I will share with you Threaded Rods And Eye Bolts' oxidation anti-corrosion treatment technology and its benefits.

The oxidation treatment of bolts is to immerse the steel parts in an alkaline solution containing an oxidant, such as potassium nitrate or sodium nitrate in sodium hydroxide solution, and keep its boiling point at about 140℃, or immerse the steel parts in sodium nitrate and nitric acid The molten potassium salt is taken out and quenched in water to obtain a pleasing black oxide film on its surface, that is, iron oxide film. Its composition is a mixture of ferrous oxide and iron oxide, which is a part of improving the corrosion resistance of ferrous metals. A simple and economical method. The thickness of the steel chemical oxide film is very thin, generally 0.5-1.6μm, and the corrosion resistance is limited. The film with a thickness of 2μm has a dull appearance, black or dark gray, and the film has good adsorption properties. After being painted with anti-rust oil or paint, its salt spray corrosion resistance can be increased several times to dozens of times.

Bolts are generally made of steel, and this material is easy to corrode, so it needs to be degreasing and pickling before oxidation treatment to remove rust on the surface. The first oxidation treatment is completed in one bath, and the two oxidation treatments are completed in two baths with different solutions. The parts after oxidation treatment must be thoroughly washed, then boiled in soapy water, dried and coated with oil.

Hexagon Flange Bolt generally needs to be anti-corrosion treatment, because they are all made of metal, and metal materials are easily oxidized and corroded in some environments, so it is necessary to adopt appropriate methods for anti-corrosion treatment.
