As we inch closer to the Tokyo Olympics, sportswear brands are celebrating with a slew of footwear releases that reference the international event. adidas, for instance, will be following up the success 2016’s pack of medal-inspired adidas ultra boost black womens by recruiting the relatively new adidas UltraBOOST 4.0 DNA.
Created in collaboration between two all-female teams, the debut Marimekko x adidas collection brings some of the former’s archival prints to the latter’s most innovative footwear to date. The first capsule – which includes sneakers like the adidas nmd mens sale and Stan Smith – highlights two legendary prints from the Finnish label: 1965’s Laine (wave) by Annika Rimala and 2009’s Räsymatto (rag rug) by Maija Louekari. Comfortable, durable and performance-ready takes like the UltraBOOST are given bold, vibrant flair courtesy of Marimekko’s prints.
Effectively a four-way project between the two aforementioned brands, Nicolas Bianco and Trajectoire Studio, the upcoming adidas forum 84 high top has been limited to just 300 pairs. Rooted in the idea that one should “Never forget the origins,” the joint-effort indulges in a reimagined take of the basketball sneaker’s inaugural white, grey and blue colorway. The collaborative pair features marble patterns across its Italian leather overlays around the forefoot and along the profiles.
For Summer, adidas Yeezy will expand on their adidas yeezy foam runner on feet collection with a new color option. The next pair for us to showcase is known as ‘MX Cream Clay.’This adidas Yeezy Foam Runner was first spotted on Kim Kardashian’s Instagram story. Going over the pair, it features both Grey and Brown splattered almost across the entire shoes, with the upper dipped in Light Beige.
