NOTE: There is a possibility that items are counterfeit; please exercise extreme caution when using them.
1. In theory, you should be able to replicate any item currently in your inventory
2. People will always duplicate items that are worth money; the higher the value, the more likely they are to duplicate it
3. Examples of high-value items that people duplicate include plus two sorceress amulets that have all resistances and 20 faster casts; a perfect Crown of Ages; a plus one to cold skills; charms with 45 life; small charms with seven percent MF; and other similar high-value items that they can have a quick turnover for, and these items will trade
4. Duplicating regular items
There are a few different approaches that you can take in order to deal with duplicate items, and one of the types of items that are most likely to be duplicated is runes, more specifically high runes (such as Jah and Sur Runes).
How Can I Prevent the Delete of Duplicate Items (Runes) in 2 Resurrected?
The authentication system makes it simple to locate and remove duplicated items, particularly pieces of equipment; however, there is a way to ensure that duplicate runes can be saved and used:
The creation of runewords also results in the production of a unique item identifier, which is an interesting facet of the process of transmuting runes, which also enables the acquisition of a different item. If you have recently traded for a high rune, such as a bur rune, a Sur rune, a Jah rune, a Cham rune, or Zod, and you are concerned that it may have been tampered with, there is a way for you to avoid having that rune taken away from you, and that way is to make the runeword. If you are attempting to create a particular rune word, you shouldn't just let the rune sit in your inventory for a long period of time because, if it is a duplicate rune, it has the potential to become useless. However, if you use that Rune to create a rune word with it, it will not poof the process of creating a runeword. Instead, it will create a new unique item identifier. This not only enables the identifier to change, but it also prevents it from being detected by the system and deleted.
How Can I Prevent Losses Caused by Duplicate Items While Playing Diablo 2 Resurrected?
It works pretty much the same way as a scan wave does; the system simply searches for unique item identifiers, and if it finds any that are already in use, it removes all of the duplicates from the database. It does not merely delete one of them; rather, it deletes all of them. Therefore, in order to avoid financial losses caused by counterfeit goods, we strongly recommend that you keep the following tips in mind:
1. A lot of the time, when it comes to duplicate items, they will be too good to be true trades, and this is a red flag right off the bat because it is a person trying to get rid of an item that is you know for sure worth way more than what they're asking, and this is generally a bad sign. 2. 1. 2. If you have just recently traded for a high rune and you are aware that you are unsure as to whether or not that high rune is a duplicate, we would advise you to make the runeword that you are trying to make. Do not let that rune sit around in your inventory for several days until the unique item identifier system finally catches up and deletes the item. Instead, make the runeword that you are trying to make.
3. Socketing an item with a rune or a gem or a jewel of some kind, and if that item at that Jewel or that Rune ends up being duped, you will log in one day and simply find the socket empty. 4. Socketing an item with a rune or a gem or a jewel of some kind, and if that item at that Jewel or that Rune ends up being duped. Wait a few days to see if the item is permanently removed from the game before you socket any items onto the armor or weapon you just received from unknown parties.
4. All you need to know is that you should protect yourself from bad trades for a short period of time until they patch the bug, which they will eventually do. Now, it is true that there will always be more dupe exploits, but at the very least, you can protect yourself from dupes if you avoid trades with people you don't know for a short period of time until they are able to patch it.
