2K Is Reportedly Developing A Rocket League Competitor Called "Gravity Goal"
Rocket League is a bit of an enigma in the gaming industry in that it's a massively popular title that no one has really attempted to mimic, any high-profile developers at least. With the game's continued success since it first launched back in 2015, you'd think at least one publisher out there would want a slice of the market that Rocket League has pretty much cornered. Well, 2K might be stepping in to Rocket League Credits fix that soon, as the game could be getting an official competitor after all these years.
According to industry insider Tom Henderson in an article for Exputer, Borderlands and WWE publisher 2K is reportedly working on a game called "Gravity Goal" and is positioning the title as a proper competitor to Rocket League. The game will reportedly play pretty much just like Rocket League, although instead of cars, players will ride bikes and can shoot glowing discs at opposing players to deal damage or slow them down.
Henderson also claims to have seen multiple images of Gravity Goal, claiming that the game's neon aesthetic looks like something akin to Disney's Tron franchise. Unfortunately, Henderson doesn't reveal any potential release date for the title, although he does speculate that Gravity Goal could be one of the 24 free-to-play titles 2K wants to publish before April 2024. Seeing as though Rocket League is a free-to-play title, it would be difficult for 2K to set up Gravity Goal as a competitor without it also being free.
Of course, none of this has actually been confirmed by 2K and we should probably wait for an official announcement before we get ahead of ourselves. That being said, Henderson is one of the more reliable insiders out there and has a fairly accurate track record.

Curse of the Dead Gods and Tribes Of Midgard will also be available, but the big one is definitely FIFA 22 and could be a perfect opportunity for football fans to try the game out if you've been waiting for a price drop.
