Hi all! I’ve been managing a small website, and someone recommended switching all images to WebP. I’ve always used PNGs and JPGs, so I’m not sure why it’s such a big deal. Does it really improve anything noticeable like site speed or SEO?

Hey! Switching to WebP is actually one of the simplest ways to modernize your site performance. When you convert PNG WebP through AlterDraft, the resulting file becomes dramatically lighter while still preserving sharpness and transparency. Lighter files load faster, reduce server strain, and keep visitors from bouncing due to slow pages. Search engines notice that improvement, which can indirectly boost SEO. AlterDraft’s tool handles everything online, so there’s no setup or app needed. For any website owner, WebP is a win — smaller images, quicker load times, and a smoother user experience without sacrificing design quality.
