The UAE Global Aluminum Corporation (EGA) announced on Tuesday that it has reached an agreement with PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum Corporation (INALUM) to provide technical assistance when INALUM upgrades its aluminum smelter in North Sumatra.
They said that the company will upgrade INALUM’s existing technology nearly 40 years ago. This 18-month project aims to increase the factory’s aluminum output by 20,000 tons/year.
In addition, the two companies have also signed an extension of a memorandum of understanding to consider building another aluminum smelter in Indonesia using EGA’s proprietary production technology.
