Hybrid stuff is free but requires you to camp with gwd to find the pieces and T70 GWD is not expensive; T80 GWD is considerably more expensive , but it's better. T85 is the best defensive gloves and boots on the market to date If I'm right and more affordable than GWD T80.
If you have a significant sum of money to spend, I'd recommend you get the T85 version that look nicer and offer the most durable tank gloves and boots in the game. T70 GWD are less expensive and more suitable for Slayer due to their powered gloves and boots. T80 GWD are in essence a superior versions of the T70 ones, but are more expensive and must be fixed.
