The lack of marketing material of NBA 2K22 led some rumors

  It is safe to say that the lack of official game content has sparked outrage amongst the gaming community, with many Twitter users expressing their dissatisfaction with the situation. The original release date for 2K22 MT Xbox One was set for September 10th, 2021. The game has since been delayed.   

  
  It is a well-cut trailer, and it showcases the series' insane face scans to the best of its ability despite these shortcomings. Some of the edits, such as the one in which Luka Doncic temporarily assumes the persona of another Dallas Mavericks legend, Dirk Nowitzki, are particularly memorable. Will the release of NBA 2K22 be delayed? 2K Games' latest NBA game, 2K18, is scheduled to be released in approximately three weeks at the time of writing this article. The game's release is only a few weeks away, but fans of the franchise have yet to see any compelling promotional materials.
  
  The 'official' trailer for the game was released quite some time ago, and it contains very little gameplay footage. It was more of a reveal video than an official game trailer, but it was still entertaining. Again, at this time of year, you'd expect the game to be well-marketed and ready for a large number of pre-orders to be placed. That just doesn't seem to be the case to me at all. As of right now, all we've gotten are the same screenshots of "new player graphics" that have been floating around the internet for quite some time now.
  
  Consider the fact that NBA Playgrounds was postponed at the last minute five years ago, which increases the likelihood of a delay even further. In that particular instance, marketing materials were lacking, and the game's developers (Sabia Interactive) were forced to delay the release of the game at the last minute – because cheap 2K22 MT wanted to include additional features and gameplay changes.
  
  Pre-orders are now available, allowing fans to purchase the game before seeing any gameplay footage or an official trailer – which is a strange development. However, it is still unclear whether or not the game will officially launch on that date. However, as a result of the lack of actual content, the likelihood of a delay is beginning to rise.
  
  If you've been following 2K's ratings declines on social media, you may have found it as difficult as trying to stay in front of Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving off the dribble. Fortunately, Twitter's timeline doesn't vanish into thin air like Irving did when you first missed him, as happened with him. As the process progressed, we saw the NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks receive their due respect, as Giannis Antetokounmpo (96) and the champions' Olympic Gold medalists Khris Middleton (88) and Jrue Holiday (85) received their respective ratings.

   

  Concerns about a possible NBA 2K22 delay are growing among the game's fanbase, which is starting to snowball. While fans can pre-order the game and receive an official release date, the lack of marketing material (such as a trailer or gameplay footage) has led some to believe that the game will be delayed for an extended period of time.

  
  The reason we put that in quotation marks is not necessarily to be snarky, but rather to emphasize that it is not technically gameplay. Okay, there's no doubt that this was captured using PlayStation 5 footage, but all of the fancy camera angles aren't really representative of what you'll see when you actually play the game.
