Animal Crossing: New Horizons fall changes begin to appear on your island on September 1st if you live in the Northern Hemisphere. Additionally, if you shake the trees on your island, you may find acorns and pinecones from time to time.
However, you'll have to wait until October 1 to see any significant changes. This includes the changing of the leaves' color as well as the beginning of additional fall events. If, for some reason, the Autumn festivities do not appear to have appeared in your game by October 1, it is possible that your Switch did not download the Fall update.
During the month of October, players can purchase candy from the green cabinet in Nook's Cranny. Each piece costs 120 Bells, and you can only purchase one per day. We strongly advise you to stock up on candy throughout the month of October in order to be better prepared to meet Jack on All Hallows Eve.
Pro tip: You can purchase candy from the store of any other islands you visit, even if the island's owner has already purchased the candy for the day. Additionally, if you already know the DIY recipe that a resident is willing to teach you, you can receive a second piece of candy from visiting other islands.
This includes things like having blue skin and yellow eyes, among other things. Take a look at those adorable little pumpkins! Don't you just want a beautiful patch of land to call your own? Pumpkin seeds will be available for purchase at the Nook's Cranny cabinet or from Leif the sloth starting on October 1. If you want to make all of the Halloween decorations yourself, you'll need to grow several pumpkins before Halloween.
After September 1, players who have the DIY Recipes app unlocked will receive the Tree's Bounty Little Tree recipe from Isabelle when they turn their games on. Starting on October 1, players will be able to purchase pumpkin seeds and grow their own pumpkin patches. If you collect pumpkins, you'll be able to use them to create a variety of Spooky Pumpkin DIY recipes throughout the month of October. Keep an eye on your patch so that you can get your island completely ready for this spooky night.
Then, between November 1 and November 30, players will discover mushrooms on their islands. During the Autumn season of Animal Crossing, two major characters make an appearance.
