Types of Flange Insulation Gasket Kit
There are four main types of Flange Insulation Gasket Kits on the market, called F, E, D, and O. Each type of Flange Insulation Gasket Kit is suitable for flanges with specific types of flange surfaces (RF, FF, RTJ).
F type gasket
The F-type gasket is produced to suit raised face flanges. Make the inner diameter of the bolt hole circle slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the washer to ensure automatic positioning of the washer. In order to avoid the accumulation of foreign matter, a special belt protector can be used on the joint assembly to further strengthen the cathodic isolation. They are made of 1/8 inch thick fabric-based phenolic sheet, either uncoated or coated with nitrile rubber coating on both sides. F-type gaskets can also be made of non-asbestos fibers, which have high isolation capabilities.
E type gasket
In the full cover type, "E" type gasket, the outer diameter of the gasket matches the outer diameter of the flange. Therefore, the gaskets of Kammprofile Gaskets Suppliers completely cover the entire flange surface. The product has a precisely positioned bolt hole, which is easy to locate in the center. This design will prevent foreign matter from accumulating between the flange faces, thereby enhancing the isolation performance of the kit. E-type flange insulation kits can provide phenolic, neoprene-faced phenolic, and high-temperature materials.
D type gasket
Manufacture "D" type gasket to fit the ring groove of RTJ flange (R, RX, and BX type). They are provided with medium-grain reinforced phenolic materials. The dimensions of other materials conform to ANSI specifications and are basically oval and octagonal. This kind of gasket is called the "API ring joint".
O type gasket
O-type gaskets are particularly special because they have an additional sealing element on both sides of the device, usually, PTFE, nitrile, or fluoroelastomer, and have ring-shaped and full-scale designs (E-type and F-type).
