Animal Crossing: With the update for the Nook Link app, you always know what is happening on your island

In addition to the announcements at Animal Crossing Direct, there is now also information about the update of the Nook Link app for the smartphone. In the future, a daily newspaper feature will provide useful tips.

Animal Crossing Direct brought tons of news to New Horizons, but that wasn't enough. In addition, an update for the Nook Link app was announced on Twitter a short time later. In the future, this should contain a daily newspaper that provides you with a lot of information directly on your real smartphone.

Always informed thanks to the newspaper feature

This is what it's all about: Animal Crossing's official Twitter account announced that the Nook Link app will receive an update on November 5th. The tweet only reveals that it is a daily newspaper in which we are informed about the events on our island.

There was a little more information on the Japanese Nintendo blog. Animal Crossing fan VNDR has translated this in a YouTube video within the framework of their own knowledge of Japanese, but urges caution with the information. But before we have detailed official information in other languages available to us, we will tell you about the features that VNDR has mentioned, even if they may differ a little.

Content of the daily newspaper according to VNDR:

    Information on daily activities

Information on current Nook shopping items

    Birthdays of residents and friends

ACNH Room Designs from our friends

Information about special NPCs that are currently on the island

    Current rare fish

Information about residents of the Happy Home Paradise extension

    Weekly beet price trend

If this information is correct, the daily newspaper will provide you with a lot of useful information about your island directly on your smartphone. It would of course be particularly interesting if the new features actually reveal which special NPCs are currently guests on the island.

    Other possible content

In addition, at nintendowire.com you can read that with the update, new items land in the app that you can purchase with your Nook points. VNDR mentions four of them in its video. These are a sweater, a shoulder bag, a balloon, and Animal Crossing toilet paper.

It is also possible that there will be other new items that cannot be seen on the screenshots in the Japanese blog. Whether all of this is true remains to be seen, but in any case the update sounds like an exciting addition to the app.
