As KA02Assessment.Co.NZ The Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) assessment is a professional evaluation framework, providing eligible engineers the opportunity to demonstrate their high-level competencies and professional acumen to be registered as a chartered professional engineer in New Zealand. The CPEng Assessment framework comes with a six-stage evaluation process comprising:

- Preparation
- Apply Online
- Validation
- Evaluation
- Decision
The CPEng registration provides engineers with professional recognition, prestige, credibility, career advancement, and the CPEng title. To be eligible for the Engineering New Zealand CPEng assessment, candidates must have a Washington Accord-accredited qualification and be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge.
