It's been a month since the Diablo 2: Resurrected 2.4 patch landed on the PTR on March 2. Many lines of features have been added, the biggest of which is the long-awaited ladder system and a series of multiplayer modes that support ranked competition.
Although this patch encountered many setbacks before its release, and once pushed back the release date. In the earliest information we can know that the patch was originally scheduled to be released in January, however, the release date was delayed for several reasons.
According to a post on the Diablo forum, the team “unfortunately ran into quite a few showstoppers that did not appear on PTR but were present in production environments” – meaning that the patch is pushed back to mid-April with the Ladder system two weeks after that.
Diablo 2: Resurrected 2.4 Update Release Date
The 2.4 spots for Diablo II: Resurrected are currently to release on April 14, with the Ladder system planned for 2 weeks later April 28.
While the two were initially meant to launch with each other, Blizzard claims that it selected to have a two-week void "to provide the group time to react to any type of further unanticipated problems that may occur" as well as to "ensure the best feasible Ladder Season 1 beginning".
Diablo 2: Resurrected's 2.4 patch testing in the PTR is now nearing its end, so now all we need to do is get ready. We need to prepare a lot of d2r items and then build a strong character.
